BlackJack account = $10,090 gain since 3/1/2001

Hi All!
This is my first entry in my BlackJack diary. I played blackjack from 3AM-5AM this morning and did pretty well, making a profit about $90. Not bad, not bad at all. I probably put about $600 on the table so that's about a 17% profit gain, which is probably more than expected. I'm not sure of the numbers exactly, but I think my new strategy of jumping in at +6 counts when there are 2-3 people at the table has given me a superior edge in the game. I'll let you know how that strategy goes.

Anyways, I met some interesting people yesterday. Some UCSB student was there playing quarters($25 chips) and I think he was up $1000 at one point. He was jumping up and down the whole night till he split a couple of times and lost it all. He was a pretty bright guy- his basic strategy was perfect, but it's obvious that if you don't count, you'll lose. It's a given mathematical fact. Then there was this guy who won $350 playing green chips, which isn't a big deal by all means. He kept telling me that if you stay there long enough and set goals, you'll win. I thought that this concept was totally absurd. Hell if everyone was staying there that long, I wouldnt hear stories of people losing $11,000 in one night would I?
